Day 1: PCN Hands-on training, SCIP hands-on training and Experience-sharing ConverStations with top regulatory experts

In the morning training sessions, you can learn how to notify hazardous chemicals to poison centres. A skill you will need many times thanks to new obligations set by CLP Annex VIII being in force from January 2021.

In a parallel session, we will navigate further towards regulatory compliance – with hands-on training on SCIP notifications. Our friendly team will guide you step by step through this new obligation. Coming from the training, you will be perfectly ready to notify substances of very high concern contained in articles to ECHA through the newly launched SCIP portal.

Use this opportunity to get ready for these new obligations which will be in force since January 2021!

In the afternoon we will jump right into the key topics moving the regulatory world in an interactive format with top-notch speakers. Followed by a networking dinner in the marvellous heart of Prague, you can prepare for a unique learning and networking experience.

Let’s navigate towards compliance together!

Day 2: Experience-sharing ConverStations carry on

Experience-sharing ConverStations are what makes PCMC really special. Facilitated by no-one less than Mia Forbes Pirie – world-class facilitator who will make sure we all go home full of new information shared with the others in the room.

We will take a close look at different topics and share practical experience in addressing some of the main challenges on the way towards regulatory compliance.

ConverStations bring together representatives of industry, regulators, policy-makers and enforcement authorities as well as expert consultants who can all share their views and real-life experience in face-to-face discussions.

Who should attend?

Last year, PCMC was of particular interest to those working in the areas of:

  • Environment, health and safety
  • Business development, sales

ConverStations: Experience-sharing round tables facilitated by Mia Forbes Pirie

How it works: ConverStations are what makes PCMC unique. An interactive format highly appreciated by the participants where you can be part of a round table discussion in a small group of 6-8 experts with various background - from authorities over consultants to the industry. During the ConverStations, you will be able to discuss all the topics, each one with the right experts.
Jan Holomek

Converstation 1: REACH dossier update

Is your REACH registration dossier up to date? According to the REACH regulation, the registration dossier should reflect the most current knowledge on your substance. ECHA carefully examines registrations to make sure that they are compliant. These compliance checks can be either random or concern based. Do not wait - be proactive! Learn about your obligations now and comply with the requirements! During our conference, we will guide you through your obligations on keeping your registration dossier up to date and compliant and describe some model situations when you need to update your dossier. It will be especially useful for you, if you are preparing for the update, or if your dossier has already failed completeness check and you need to submit an update – you will have a chance to exchange experience with registrants who already went through this process.
Dušan Bašič

ConverStation 2: Biocides

Biocidal products commonly used in medicine, agriculture, forestry, and industry. These products are intended to control organisms which are harmful to human or animal health or damage natural or manufactured materials. Also, biocidal products can pose risks to the environment, human and animals. Did you know that even a pocket hand sanitizer you are buying, might be in the scope of BPR? During the pandemic, there is an increased demand for different types of biocidal products – we all need surface disinfectants, veterinary and human hygiene products, and many other types of disinfection. How to comply with EU BPR requirements? What internal requirements EU Member States have? How long does it take? How much does it cost? In PCMC 2020 you will learn about the Biocidal Products Regulation 528/2012 (BPR), and found out, how widely biocides are used, how to make your biocidal products available on the market and what risk management can be applied to protect our health and environment.

It will simplify and strengthen EU rules on chemicals, and review how EU agencies and scientific bodies can work together towards a process where substances are only reviewed by one agency. AT the table we will discuss the impacts on the industry that might apply once the new work program will be implemented.
